ChainCatcher report: According to two sources familiar with the matter, SpaceX has agreed to acquire Cursor for more than $50 billion. Cursor is a rapidly growing AI startup focused on developing code-writing software. This acquisition comes as SpaceX prepares for what could be one of the largest IPOs in history. Founded in 2022, Cursor has raised over $3 billion in funding and gained significant attention as one of the fastest-growing AI startups. Previously, SpaceX stated that Cursor had granted SpaceX the right to acquire Cursor for $6 billion, or alternatively, SpaceX could choose to pay $1 billion for the outcomes of their collaboration.
