As reported by The Crypto Basic, RippleX, the XRPL development arm of Ripple, has issued a new scam alert warning XRP holders about deepfake videos and fake livestreams impersonating Ripple executives, particularly CEO Brad Garlinghouse. These scams often involve fraudulent giveaways that ask users to send XRP to specific wallet addresses in exchange for double the amount. RippleX emphasized that no Ripple employee will ever request users to share wallet information or send funds, and urged the community to verify all information through Ripple’s official X accounts before taking action.
