Based on Coinotag, Ripple has received approval from Singapore’s Monetary Authority (MAS) to expand its payment services under a Major Payment Institution license. This allows Ripple Markets APAC to offer regulated payment solutions using XRP and RLUSD for cross-border transactions in Singapore. The expansion supports financial institutions in the Asia-Pacific region by enabling faster, compliant settlements. Singapore’s regulatory clarity has driven a 70% year-over-year increase in on-chain activity in the region. Ripple’s President Monica Long and Managing Director Fiona Murray highlighted the significance of the approval in supporting digital asset innovation and infrastructure development.
