According to a ChainCatcher report, Nasdaq-listed Bitcoin mining company Riot Platforms announced that it has sold 1,080 Bitcoin, generating approximately $96 million in proceeds, which will be used to purchase land in Rockdale for the development of a data center project. Additionally, the company has signed a data center lease and service agreement with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), which will deploy 25 megawatts of critical IT load capacity at the Rockdale campus. The initial deployment will be carried out in phases, starting in January 2026 and completing by May 2026.
