Real, a Layer 1 blockchain focused on institutional-scale real-world assets (RWA), has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with iExec to explore privacy-preserving infrastructure for tokenized assets. The partnership will evaluate methods for issuing, distributing, and executing on-chain operations for institutional RWA while ensuring confidentiality and regulatory compliance. Real supports tokenized assets throughout their lifecycle, including registration, risk assessment, and settlement. iExec provides confidential computing through trusted execution environments and the Nox Protocol, enabling encrypted data processing and selective disclosure. The two parties will assess integrating Nox with Real’s blockchain to enable confidential tokenized assets and encrypted transaction flows. The collaboration will also cover private financial operations such as loan structures, dividend distributions, and subscriptions. Both companies will examine selective disclosure mechanisms for regulators and auditors. The agreement outlines plans for technical discussions and pilot projects, with a focus on institutional use cases including tokenized funds and private credit.
CoinDesk reports:

Real, the first-layer blockchain focused on institutional-scale real-world asset tokenization (RWA), has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with confidential computing infrastructure provider iExec to explore privacy-preserving infrastructure for tokenized assets.

This partnership will evaluate how to execute institutional RWA issuance, distribution, and on-chain financial operations while maintaining confidentiality, ensuring compliance, and enabling auditability.

Real supports the entire lifecycle of tokenized assets, including registration, verification, risk assessment, settlement, and asset management.

iExec enables confidential computing through trusted execution environments, including Intel TDX, and its Nox protocol, enabling encrypted data processing, confidential smart contract execution, selective disclosure, and verifiable computation.

Nox Protocol Integration and Use Cases

The two companies will explore how Nox Protocol can integrate with Real's Layer 1 to support confidential tokenized assets, encrypted transaction flows, and private financial operations.

This partnership will cover confidential RWA issuance and distribution, including crypto balances and private transaction flows, as well as financial operations such as subscription, redemption, dividend distribution, lending, and structured credit.

Both parties will also evaluate selective disclosure mechanisms for regulators and auditors, as well as how to make confidential assets compatible with custody, settlement infrastructure, and potential secondary markets.

The protocol establishes a framework for exploring institutional use cases such as tokenized funds and private credit, with next steps including technical discussions, pilot project identification, and architectural adjustments.

“Institutions need more than tokenization—they require infrastructure that safeguards sensitive financial data while ensuring compliance, oversight, and auditability,” said Ivo Grigorov, CEO of Real. “Our partnership with iExec is a crucial step in exploring how confidential computing can support the next generation of real-world asset markets.”
