Citing PANews, the Qilin ransomware group launched a supply chain attack by compromising South Korean IT service provider GJTec, leading to the breach of 28 financial institutions and the theft of over 1 million files totaling 2TB of data. Bitdefender's investigation linked the operation to the North Korea-backed APT group 'Moonstone Sleet,' with suspected collaboration with the Russian-speaking Qilin group, targeting pressure on South Korea's financial market.
