ChainThink reports that, according to the New York Post, the prediction market platform Polymarket is investigating whether its main competitor, Kalshi, engaged in corporate espionage, and has created an internal file named "copycat" documenting over a dozen highly suspicious incidents.
Polymarket’s Head of Markets, Matthew Modabber, said that Kalshi has repeatedly launched highly similar features just before Polymarket was set to release its own, with timing that is too coincidental.
The company suspects that Kalshi may be monitoring its employees through Paradigm’s office, located across from Polymarket’s premises, and has even applied window film to that office.
Specific examples include: Kalshi launched a similar free grocery service days before Polymarket planned to roll out grocery-related features; and Kalshi was reported by the media to have similar plans just before Polymarket was set to announce its perpetual contracts feature.
Kalshi denies all allegations, stating they constitute normal competition or coincidence, and counters that Polymarket is imitating it. Polymarket has not yet taken legal action but says it is closely investigating.
