Emanuel Fabian, a military correspondent for The Times of Israel, wrote on Monday that he received demands to revise his report on a missile launched by Iran that landed near the Israeli city of Beit Shemesh on March 10. The prediction market allowed users to bet on the date of an Iranian attack on Israel, with over $17 million wagered on the March 10 option. Fabian said he received threatening messages from someone identifying as "Haim," demanding he alter the report under threat of serious consequences, and provided specific details about his parents, family, and residence. Fabian has reported the threats to police, who are currently investigating. Polymarket issued a statement on X condemning the harassment and threats against Emanuel Fabian, stating that it had banned the involved accounts and referred the information to relevant authorities. The Israeli Defense Forces later confirmed that the missile that exploded near Beit Shemesh was not intercepted.
