In accordance with MetaEra, on December 9 (UTC+8), Polygon has deployed the Madhugiri hard fork upgrade, increasing network throughput by 33% to approximately 1400 TPS. The upgrade introduces an adjustable blocktime mechanism, allowing future adjustments to block speed directly within the chain architecture without requiring a hard fork. It also standardizes consensus time to 1 second and activates Ethereum Fusaka EIPs (including EIP-7883, EIP-7825, and EIP-7823), enhancing security by limiting single-transaction gas caps. The upgrade aims to provide more reliable infrastructure for enterprise users such as Revolut, MasterCard, and Stripe.
