Isabel, co-founder and general manager of POAP, announced in a post that POAP will officially enter maintenance mode starting March 16, 2026. From that date onward, new issuers will no longer have access to the issuance interface, and the platform will cease active development. Isabel clarified that existing issuers, previously created POAP collections, the collector interface, and API integrations will remain unaffected and continue to function. She stated that, due to limited growth potential of the current platform, the team has decided to redirect resources toward building a new open digital collectibles infrastructure based on a permissionless model.
