PANews, July 19: RWA trading platform Ostium has issued an update regarding the security incident. The official statement confirmed that Ostium’s LP vault was compromised on July 15, resulting in a loss of 23,752,746 USDC. The attacker exploited a compromised off-chain price oracle infrastructure to submit manipulated price reports, enabling arbitrage trades to generate illicit profits. Trader funds remain unaffected, as they are held in separately isolated contracts, and all positions remain open. The team is collaborating with Mandiant, zeroShadow, Collisionless, SEAL 911, and law enforcement agencies, and is coordinating with exchanges, bridges, and stablecoin issuers. Within 60 minutes of the initial attack transaction, coordinated actions were taken to suspend trading and freeze all trading contracts.
