ChainCatcher report: Peter Steinberger, founder of OpenClaw, responded on social media to the incident where a user was banned from OpenClaw’s Discord for mentioning Bitcoin, stating, “We have strict server rules that users agree to follow upon joining. One of these rules is a complete ban on mentioning cryptocurrencies.” Subsequently, Peter Steinberger asked for the username of the affected user, saying he would manually re-add them to OpenClaw’s Discord group.

OpenClaw founder Peter Steinberger confirmed that mentioning cryptocurrency in the official Discord group is strictly prohibited. A user was banned after referencing Bitcoin, violating server rules related to CFT (Countering the Financing of Terrorism) and MiCA (EU Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation) compliance. Steinberger stated he would manually re-add the user upon receiving their account name. All members agree to these rules upon joining.
