As per Bijiie, Mythical Games, developer of NFL Rivals and FIFA Rivals, is partnering with Sam Altman's blockchain project to build a three-layer blockchain on World Chain—a Layer 2 network based on Ethereum—to verify real human players and combat bot-driven manipulation. The initiative, reported by Coindesk, aims to address a growing issue in gaming, with 75% of players saying bot activity has reduced their enjoyment. The new system will ensure only verified human users can access key parts of the ecosystem, including tournaments and asset markets. Yahoo Finance noted that a UFC-backed blockchain project recently raised $183 million, far exceeding its $1.5 million target, highlighting growing investor confidence in blockchain-driven sports fan engagement. Critics, however, warn that such systems are not foolproof and may face scalability challenges as the ecosystem expands.
