Derived from 币界网, the defunct cryptocurrency exchange Mt. Gox transferred 10,608 BTC (worth approximately $956 million) to an unlabeled wallet address on Monday night, according to Arkham Intelligence. The transfer occurred around 11:40 PM ET, with 10,422 BTC sent to the address '1ANkD…ojwyt' and 185.5 BTC to its own hot wallet. The move comes amid ongoing bankruptcy proceedings, with the Tokyo-based exchange having begun repaying creditors in July 2024 using its holdings of 142,000 BTC, 143,000 BCH, and 690 billion yen. The repayment deadline has been extended for the third time to October 2026. Arkham data shows that Mt. Gox still holds 34,689 BTC (worth $3.1 billion) in its wallets.
