In accordance with TechFlow, on November 25, 2025, MoonPay has been granted a limited-purpose Trust Charter by the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS), allowing it to provide cryptocurrency custody and over-the-counter (OTC) services in the state. MoonPay had previously obtained a BitLicense, and currently, Coinbase, PayPal, Ripple, and NYDIG also hold both licenses.
