Monad Launches as EVM-Equivalent Layer-1 Blockchain with High Throughput

According to CryptoValleyJournal, Monad, a Layer-1 blockchain, officially launched its mainnet and native MON token on 24 November 2025. The platform is fully EVM-equivalent, allowing Ethereum smart contracts to run on Monad without modifications. It uses pipelining and parallel transaction execution to achieve high throughput, with a block time of around one second. At launch, the network reported a TVL of approximately $74 million, 24-hour transaction fees of over $109,000, and DEX volume of around $73 million.
