ME News reports that on April 22 (UTC+8), scaling is underway. PCM enables publishers to receive compensation when their paid content is cited by AI platforms, covering non-free information such as map data, product catalogs, news, and health information. Copilot is the first demand-side platform to integrate, and Microsoft is currently negotiating integrations with other AI platforms. Unlike current one-time bundled RAG licensing agreements between publishers and AI platforms, PCM adopts a market-driven model of continuous transactions. Second, commercial agreement support: Microsoft has officially launched the Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) data source in Merchant Center. UCP is an open standard developed by Google in collaboration with Shopify and other companies, enabling AI agents to directly access structured product information. Microsoft has also integrated Shopify’s Global Catalog into Copilot, allowing over 500,000 merchants’ products to be searched and transacted within Copilot. Microsoft reports that after top Shopify merchants integrated, their exposure share within Copilot increased by approximately 90%. Copilot Checkout has been expanded to mobile and integrated with loyalty programs from retailers such as Target. Third, advertising and insights tools: Microsoft Clarity’s AI Visibility feature is being broadly released, helping brands see how often their web content is cited in AI responses, compare citation rates against competitors, and receive recommendations for content gaps. New features include AI Max search ads (public beta in May), Offer Highlights (displaying product advantages within Copilot conversations), and Audience Generation (using natural language to describe target audiences, with AI automatically generating audience targeting). Microsoft states it will not take a transaction commission, only charging a low-service technology fee. Frank emphasized that for 51 years, the company has focused on enterprise services and has no conflict of interest in competing with its customers as a platform. (Source: BlockBeats)
Microsoft Builds Commercial Infrastructure for the AI Agent Era
KuCoinFlashShare

Microsoft is building commercial infrastructure for the AI agent era, with Copilot as the first platform to integrate its Publisher Content Marketplace (PCM). The system enables publishers to earn revenue from paid content referenced on AI platforms. The Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP), developed in collaboration with Google and Shopify, allows AI agents to access product data. Shopify’s Global Catalog is now searchable through Copilot, covering over 500,000 merchants. New tools include AI Visibility and AI Max search ads. Traders monitoring altcoins to watch may note the shift toward AI-driven commerce; movements in the Fear and Greed Index could reflect market sentiment surrounding this expansion. Microsoft will charge low technical fees and no transaction commissions.
