According to a ChainCatcher report citing Cointelegraph, starting on Tuesday, eligible MetaMask users from non-U.S. countries will be able to access 200 tokenized U.S. stocks, ETFs, and commodities—such as gold and silver—via the Ethereum network. The service allows users to acquire tokenized assets by swapping Circle's USDC through MetaMask Swaps, exchanging the stablecoin for Ondo Global Markets (GM) tokens. These tokens are designed to track the value of their underlying assets on a 1:1 basis.

MetaMask has announced news regarding real-world assets (RWA) by enabling eligible users outside the U.S. to access 200 tokenized U.S. stocks, ETFs, and commodities through the Ondo platform. This update, part of a broader network upgrade, allows users to swap USDC for Ondo Global Markets (GM) tokens via MetaMask Swaps. These tokens reflect the value of their underlying assets at a 1:1 ratio. This move expands the utility of Ethereum for real-world assets (RWA) and follows a recent network upgrade to support a wider range of asset classes.
