WTI crude oil futures increased 2.50% to $100.714 per barrel; Brent crude oil futures rose 1.87% to $106.983 per barrel. 3. International spot gold and silver prices fell collectively. Spot gold declined 0.66% to $4,513.67 per ounce; spot silver dropped 0.96% to $75.09 per ounce. 4. Major European stock indices declined collectively: the UK FTSE 100 fell 0.35%, Germany’s DAX 30 dropped 0.59%, and Italy’s FTSE MIB index slid 0.52%. 5. U.S. initial jobless claims for the week ending May 16 came in at 209,000, slightly below market expectations. 6.
