According to Malay Mail, Malaysian tech entrepreneur Arsyan Ismail sold the AI.com domain for about $70 million in April 2025. The buyer of the transaction was Kris Marszalek, co-founder and CEO of cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com. Arsyan bought the domain in 1993 at the age of 10 for $100 (about 256 ringgit at the time), purely because "AI" matched his initials. The transaction is considered one of the largest publicly disclosed domain name deals in history. Now 43 years old, Arsyan is an early adopter of Bitcoin and is still active in blockchain and cryptocurrency development. He is also a collector of rare digital assets, including ultra-short email addresses, web domains, and ENS.
