Based on Coindesk, crypto exchange Kraken has raised $800 million in fresh funding, including a $200 million investment from Citadel Securities, valuing the firm at $20 billion. The funding round was led by institutional investors such as Jane Street, DRW Venture Capital, HSG, Oppenheimer Alternative Investment Management, and Tribe Capital. Kraken plans to use the funds to expand into Latin America, Asia Pacific, and EMEA, and to develop new trading tools, institutional products, and staking solutions.
