In accordance with CoinEdition, Kraken raised $800 million at a $20 billion valuation, led by Tribe Capital and Citadel Securities. Co-CEO Arjun Sethi revealed the exchange was shortlisted for the FTX 2.0 restart tender but was ultimately rejected by bankruptcy lawyers. Sethi attributed the firm’s success to its conviction during the 2022 market crash and a long-term strategy of disciplined investment. Kraken has now secured one of the largest funding rounds in the current crypto cycle.
