KPMG joins OpenAI’s Elite Partner Network to market AI-native platforms to enterprise clients. The certification comes with $150 million in funding and allows KPMG to commercialize its internal AI platform built for OpenAI’s supply chain. OpenAI plans to train 300,000 consultants by 2026. This move brings AI + crypto news to the forefront of market news.

OpenAI’s strategy for conquering the enterprise market looks a lot like how Salesforce did it two decades ago: build a partner ecosystem, certify an army of consultants, and let the Big Four do the heavy lifting. KPMG just landed the top spot in that ecosystem.

The consulting firm has been designated an “Elite Partner” within OpenAI’s newly launched Partner Network, a tiered certification program backed by $150 million in investment. The designation puts KPMG in OpenAI’s highest partner tier, above “Advanced” and “Select” levels, and gives it the green light to market AI-native workflow platforms directly to enterprise clients.

From internal project to commercial product

Before KPMG started pitching AI deployment to the Fortune 500, it essentially auditioned for the role by building OpenAI’s own internal infrastructure.

OpenAI hired KPMG to construct a Supply Chain & Fulfillment Orchestration platform, the kind of AI-native workflow system that automates complex operational processes. KPMG designed the plumbing that helps OpenAI run its own business more efficiently.

Now KPMG is repackaging that exact system architecture as a commercial product.

OpenAI’s $150 million bet on consultants

The Partner Network itself is OpenAI’s most aggressive channel strategy to date. The program targets 300,000 consultant certifications by December 31, 2026, a number that would make it one of the largest enterprise AI certification programs in existence.

The tiered structure—Select, Advanced, and Elite—mirrors the partner programs that companies like Microsoft, AWS, and Google Cloud have used for years. Elite partners get the deepest access, the best co-marketing support, and presumably the most favorable commercial terms.
