Kaspersky Warns of Stealka Malware Targeting Crypto Wallets via Game Mods

In accordance with Jinse, cybersecurity firm Kaspersky has identified a sophisticated information-stealing malware named Stealka, posing a significant threat to cryptocurrency users. First detected in November 2025, the malware often disguises itself as game mods and pirated software, spreading through trusted platforms such as GitHub, SourceForge, and Google Sites. Stealka masquerades as cheats and mods for popular games like Roblox and GTA V, as well as cracked versions of legitimate software like Microsoft Visio. Attackers have also created professional-looking fake websites to distribute the malware, making it difficult for users without robust security measures to detect the threat.
