As reported by Coinpedia, in early January 2025, Polygon Labs announced a partnership with Reliance Jio to integrate Web3 features using the Polygon PoS blockchain. Despite rumors and social media claims in recent weeks that JioCoin had launched and could be bought, reliable community reports confirm that JioCoin has not been publicly released. The token is currently in internal testing on the Polygon network but lacks an official listing, trading option, or public announcement from Jio or Polygon. JioCoin functions as a blockchain-based reward token, not a tradable cryptocurrency, and is intended for use within Jio’s ecosystem. A public launch could significantly impact India’s Web3 adoption.
