AIMPACT Update: On May 16 (UTC+8), according to monitoring by Beating, Mike Krieger, co-founder of Instagram, shifted from his role as CPO at Anthropic to hands-on product incubation in January this year, joining the company’s internal experimental team, Labs, and co-leading this innovation unit with Ben Mann. Ami Vora has taken over the product organization to continue scaling Claude’s existing product lines. Labs is positioned more like an early-stage startup team within Anthropic, focused on turning new capabilities from the Claude model into tangible products. In a recent interview, Krieger stated that the expanded Labs has abandoned the traditional two-week sprint cycle in favor of high-frequency “Bolts” iteration cycles measured in hours or days. The team comprises many entrepreneurs, with an internal goal of identifying the “next Claude Code.” This mechanism has already produced several core products. Anthropic officially confirms that Claude Code, MCP, Skills, Claude in Chrome, and Cowork all emerged from these boundary-pushing product experiments. Sources also note that Krieger’s prior experience leading the long-horizon agents project provided foundational technical insights for the later development of Claude Managed Agents. Computer Use was an early prototype along this path. As early as October 2024, Anthropic introduced the Computer Use beta alongside the upgraded Claude 3.5 Sonnet, enabling Claude to view screens, move cursors, click buttons, and input text. Krieger added in the interview that this capability had previously been shelved due to slow performance and imprecise clicks—until subsequent model advancements delivered significant performance gains, allowing the feature to resume product development. Compute power has become a hard constraint for Anthropic’s product launches. On May 6, 2026, the company announced an agreement with SpaceX to utilize the full computing capacity of the Colossus 1 data center, gaining over 300 megawatts of new power and more than 220,000 NVIDIA GPUs, alongside increased usage limits for Claude Code and the Claude API. For Anthropic, Labs identifies new product forms, while compute agreements ensure these forms can actually run at scale. (Source: BlockBeats)

Instagram co-founder Mike Krieger has joined Anthropic’s Labs to lead product development, focusing on the next Claude Code-level product. Working with Ben Mann, he is using a new high-frequency iteration model called 'Bolts' to replace the two-week sprint cycle. Anthropic has launched Claude Code, MCP, Skills, and Claude in Chrome using this method. The company also partnered with SpaceX in May 2026 to access 220,000 NVIDIA GPUs and over 300 megawatts of computing power. Traders are monitoring altcoins to watch as Anthropic advances. Resistance level analysis may shift with these developments.
