Odaily Planet Daily reports that a Bitcoin miner operating independently through CKPool successfully mined block #943,411 on Thursday, earning approximately 3.139 BTC in rewards (including block subsidy and transaction fees), worth about $210,000 at current prices. Statistics show that solo mining remains a rare occurrence: over the past 12 months, solo miners have only mined 20 blocks, totaling approximately 62.96 BTC—averaging one win roughly every 18.7 days, with the longest interval reaching 58 days. The previous such event was recorded on February 28.
This block reward occurred amid intensifying mining competition. The Bitcoin network difficulty previously saw its largest reduction since February (approximately -7.7%), followed by a rebound of about 3.87% within 24 hours, reflecting a temporary decline in hash rate and a brief increase in miners' probability of successfully mining a block.
