ChainCatcher report: Humanity has released its latest announcement, officially disclosing its recovery plan following the cyberattack. According to the announcement, the original H tokens deployed on Ethereum, BNB Chain (BSC), and Humanity Mainnet have been permanently disabled. The project team will issue a brand-new ERC-20 version of the H token and conduct a 1:1 airdrop to eligible token holders. The new token will retain “H” as its trading symbol and be deployed on the Ethereum network; its smart contract has undergone a comprehensive security audit and will serve as the sole valid H token for the future ecosystem. To ensure fair distribution, Humanity has taken a snapshot of the on-chain state prior to the attack, with the snapshot timestamp set at June 8, 2026, 17:25:35 UTC. The Ethereum snapshot block height is 25,274,179; BNB Chain is 103,071,069; and Humanity Mainnet is 24,247,803. Based on findings from third-party security firm Quantstamp, all addresses confirmed to be controlled by or associated with the attackers have been excluded from the airdrop. Eligible ordinary externally owned accounts (EOAs) will receive the new H tokens directly via airdrop, while assets held in liquidity pools, smart contracts, or other non-EOA addresses will be temporarily held in a dedicated treasury fund, with subsequent distribution plans to be coordinated with relevant protocols and institutions. Additionally, Humanity has established an H token compensation fund to address special cases not covered by the automated airdrop, including certain third-party protocol integrations, discrepancies in on-chain liquidity provider holdings, and users who purchased and still hold H tokens after the snapshot. The project team notes that, as this attack has been linked to a North Korea-affiliated hacking group, all compensation applications must undergo identity verification (KYC) and anti-money laundering (AML) reviews. The official claims portal is now live, and users may submit applications through the official channel. Meanwhile, Humanity is collaborating with major centralized exchanges, cross-chain bridges, liquidity providers, and ecosystem partners to facilitate migration and plans to relaunch Humanity Mainnet within the coming weeks, at which point the new H token will serve as the network’s native gas token.

Humanity has launched a recovery plan following a security breach, marking a key on-chain news update. Old H tokens on Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Humanity Mainnet are now permanently disabled. A new ERC-20 H token will replace them, with a 1:1 airdrop based on a snapshot taken on June 8, 2026, at 17:25:35 UTC. Addresses associated with the attack are excluded. Tokens for non-EOA wallets will be held in a vault. A compensation fund is available for special cases, subject to KYC and AML verification. The new token listings will be closely monitored by the community.
