BlockBeats News: On January 15, blockchain infrastructure company Global Settlement Network (GSX) partnered with Indonesia's local Globalasia Infrastructure Fund to launch a pilot project in Jakarta, Indonesia. The project will tokenize assets of eight water treatment plants contracted by the government, aiming to raise up to $35 million. The funds will be used to upgrade water treatment facilities and expand the water supply network. These facilities currently serve over 36,000 residents, supplying approximately 2,300 liters of clean water per second. It is projected to generate more than $15 million in revenue by the end of 2026.
The Global Settlement Network is expected to gradually expand its asset tokenization program across the entire Southeast Asia region within the next 12 months, achieving $200 million in tokenized water utility assets.
