ME News reports that on May 2 (UTC+8), the Russian crypto exchange Grinex stated it will compensate clients for assets damaged by an unknown hacking attack half a month ago, with the platform initially estimating losses of approximately $1,400. Grinex said affected clients will first be able to withdraw the ruble-stablecoin A7A5; the stolen assets remain in the attacker’s wallet and cannot yet be returned, as international AML services have flagged the funds as “stolen assets,” and Russian police have opened an investigation.
