Google introduces 'vibe design' with an AI-native upgrade to Stitch, enabling users to create high-fidelity UIs through natural language. Features include an infinite canvas, a Design Agent, DESIGN.md for cryptocurrency rules, and one-click prototyping. Available to users aged 18+ in Gemini regions, with SDK support. The announcement follows growing interest in AI and crypto news. Figma’s stock dropped 8% following the reveal.

According to 1M AI News, Google Labs upgraded its AI design tool Stitch yesterday into a full-fledged AI-native software design canvas, officially introducing the concept of "vibe design"—where design intent is described in natural language and AI generates high-fidelity UIs, corresponding to the design side of vibe coding. The new version features four core updates:

- AI-native infinite canvas: Drag and drop images, text, and code as context, with real-time voice editing support
- Completely redesigned Agent and Agent Manager: enable end-to-end reasoning across projects, support parallel exploration of multiple directions, and track progress
- DESIGN.md: A plain text design specification file readable and writable by both humans and AI agents, analogous to AGENTS.md in the programming domain, used for importing and exporting design rules across tools, and also supports extracting design systems from any URL.
- One-click generation of interactive prototypes: Click 'Play' to preview the app flow, and the Agent automatically infers the next logical page

Stitch is now available to users aged 18 and older in regions where Gemini is accessible. Developers can integrate Stitch into tools such as Cursor and Gemini CLI via MCP servers, and the official SDK is provided for professional designers and entrepreneurs with no design experience. Following the announcement, the stock price of the UI design platform Figma dropped by 8%.
