Users can save frequently used AI prompts as “Skills” and trigger them with a single click on any webpage. How it works: After crafting a useful prompt in a Gemini conversation, users can directly save it as a Skill from the chat history. Next time, simply type “/” or click the “+” button to invoke the Skill. It will automatically apply to the current page and other selected tabs. Skills can also be edited or created at any time. Google has also launched a pre-built Skills library featuring ready-to-use templates for scenarios such as food ingredient analysis, multi-tab product specification comparison, and key information extraction from long documents. Users can add or modify prompts to suit their needs. The feature is currently rolling out on desktop versions of Chrome for Mac, Windows, and ChromeOS, with English (US) support only.
