According to 1M AI News, Google has officially launched the new vibe coding experience in Google AI Studio, powered by Gemini 3.1 Pro and integrated with the newly introduced Antigravity programming Agent and Firebase backend, transforming AI Studio from a prototyping tool into a full-stack platform capable of building production-grade applications. Yesterday, AI Studio product lead Logan Kilpatrick previewed this release, stating that the team had spent four months rebuilding it from scratch.
Core capabilities include:
1. Real-time multiplayer experience: Supports real-time connected applications such as multiplayer games and collaborative workspaces
2. Automatic Database and Authentication: The Agent automatically detects whether the application requires a database or login system, and after user approval, configures Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication (supporting Google account login).
3. Third-party service integration: Users can securely store API keys using the new Secrets Manager to integrate with external services such as payment processors and Google Maps.
4. Modern web toolchain: The agent automatically identifies requirements and installs third-party libraries such as Framer Motion and Shadcn, with added support for the Next.js framework (previously only React and Angular were supported).
5. Cross-device resume: Project status is automatically saved when you close your browser and can be resumed on any device.
Google revealed that over the past several months, hundreds of thousands of applications have been internally built for this experience. It will soon integrate with Google Workspace (connecting Drive and Sheets) and support one-click export of projects from AI Studio to the Google Antigravity platform.
