As reported by HashNews, GitHub recently announced the launch of Agent HQ, a service designed to unify the management of multiple AI coding agents across GitHub, VS Code, CLI, and mobile platforms. The service integrates agents from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Cognition, and xAI, and will be available via Copilot subscriptions. GitHub also introduced Mission Control, VS Code's 'Plan Mode,' AGENTS.md for custom agents, GitHub MCP Registry, and enterprise tools like Code Quality public preview, Copilot metrics dashboards, and AI control interfaces to help manage access and perform audits. Notably, Copilot Pro+ users will test OpenAI Codex on the VS Code Insiders platform this week.
