Direct traffic to niche crypto platforms reached 54%, with major publications capturing 82% of the regional traffic. The study analyzed data from 171 media outlets across 10 Asian countries in Q2 2025, excluding sites with less than 10,000 monthly visits. Specialized crypto media showed resilience, with combined traffic of 102.1 million visits, while traditional financial media saw a 7.29% drop in visits from April to June. Editors from Vietnam, South Korea, and Indonesia confirmed a trend of readers moving to localized, community-driven content and using AI for information searches. The market is highly centralized, with the top 18 publishers capturing 81.79% of traffic. AI tools like ChatGPT are increasingly influencing traffic distribution, with some top publishers seeing up to 68% of referral traffic from AI sources.
