ME News, July 21 (UTC+8): Asset management firm Fidelity Investments announced an expansion of its institutional Separately Managed Account (SMA) product line, introducing six new customized strategies and two model strategies for Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) and broker-dealer clients to enhance personalized investment services for high-net-worth individuals. The newly added strategies include the Fidelity Institutional Tax-Managed Enhanced Equity Strategy and the Fidelity Institutional Tax-Managed Fundamental Equity Strategy. Both strategies cover large-cap core, growth, and value investment themes, combining Fidelity’s long-standing active management expertise with a customized SMA service model. The Enhanced Equity Strategy employs a benchmark-tracking framework that seeks alpha through diversified factor exposure, while the Fundamental Equity Strategy utilizes a systematic portfolio construction process paired with high-conviction stock selection. Fidelity stated that these strategies are now available to RIAs via its customized SMA platform, which integrates with the Fidelity Wealthscape brokerage platform to enable wealth management firms to manage client onboarding, strategy customization, execution, and portfolio monitoring. Amanda Robinson, Head of Distribution for Fidelity’s Wealth Advisory Solutions, noted that as demand for personalized investment experiences continues to grow—particularly among the expanding ultra-high-net-worth segment—financial advisors require more flexible and tailored asset management tools. Fidelity empowers advisors with deeper portfolio customization and enhanced tax management capabilities by combining active management, direct indexing, and factor-based strategies. Since launching its institutional customized SMA product line in 2022, Fidelity has expanded its standardized SMA strategy offerings to 50 strategies, enabling advisors to combine multiple indices or strategies into customized allocations tailored to client needs. Additionally, Fidelity has introduced two stock model SMA strategies: the Fidelity Institutional Blue Chip Growth Focused Model SMA and the Fidelity Institutional Small Growth Focused Model SMA, available to RIA and broker-dealer clients and integrable into Unified Managed Account (UMA) frameworks for more comprehensive and tax-efficient portfolio management. Fidelity currently offers eight active stock model SMA strategies covering U.S. equities, sectors, and international markets, along with five factor-based model strategies and two index-based model strategies through Fidelity Managed Accounts (Source: ODAILY)
