As reported by ChainCatcher, according to JIN10, Nick Timiraos, the 'Fed's mouthpiece,' wrote that interest rates are expected to drop significantly after Trump appoints a new Fed chair in May next year. However, opposition to a December rate cut is growing within the Fed, with Powell facing the most internal resistance in his eight-year tenure. Evercore ISI economist Krishna Guha noted that the decision-making process is breaking down, with the committee likely to be deeply divided next year, and the December meeting possibly seeing three or more dissenting votes.
