As reported by CoinEdition, market analysts anticipate the Federal Reserve will implement liquidity measures in 2026 that could reshape cryptocurrency markets. James E. Thorne, chief market strategist at Wellington Altus, projects the Fed will begin monthly purchases of approximately $25 billion, likely starting early 2026 and continuing for at least six months to stabilize reserve balances. Raoul Pal, a macro investor, warned that crypto is currently trading like a stressed funding vehicle, reflecting broken market plumbing, and warned of potential funding crises if the situation is not resolved. The Fed is also considering changes to the supplementary leverage ratio and may use the Standing Repo Facility as an interim fix.
