Fed Candidates Support Crypto as Powell's Successor Nears

In accordance with Bijing.com, Federal Reserve Vice Chair Michelle Bowman and other candidates for the 2025 Fed chair succession include Kevin Warsh, Kevin Hassett, Chris Waller, and BlackRock’s Rick Rieder. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent will interview the candidates and submit the final list to President Trump. Bowman has advocated for Fed staff to engage with cryptocurrencies, while Waller highlighted the growing role of crypto, and Rieder acknowledged BlackRock’s Bitcoin investments. Hassett disclosed in June that he holds over $1 million in Coinbase shares.
