Faroo, the first hybrid yield liquidity staking protocol in the Pharos ecosystem, launched at the RWA: The Evolution of Global Liquidity industry summit. Built on TechFlow, the protocol introduces the Hybrid Yield model as the third wave of DeFi evolution. Faroo co-founder Tyrone explained how the protocol integrates multiple yield mechanisms with real-world asset (RWA) data to create a unified on-chain news system. Its product suite includes stPHRS, tbPHRS, and LP Vault, designed to enhance capital efficiency and diversify returns.

Faroo, the first hybrid yield liquid staking protocol in the Pharos ecosystem, officially launched at the industry summit "RWA: The Evolution of Global Liquidity" yesterday.

This summit is co-hosted by Pharos Network, HashKey RWA, Faroo, and Bifrost, bringing together leading industry figures including King Leung, Head of Global Financial Services and FinTech at Invest HK; Wish Wu, Co-founder and CEO of Pharos Network; Andy Lee, Partner at HashKey Tokenisation; Henry Zhang, Founder and Group CEO of DigiFT; Paolo Chen, CSO of VDX; and Lurpis Wong, Co-founder and CEO of Bifrost.

Faroo co-founder Tyrone delivered a keynote speech, systematically outlining Hybrid Yield, a new on-chain liquidity paradigm, marking DeFi's entry into its third phase, driven by genuine and sustainable yields.

Paradigm Shift: From "Asset Tokenization" to "Liquidity Activation"

Although RWA (real-world assets) have become a core narrative in the crypto industry this year, they are still largely at the stage of "static tokenization"—lacking composability and struggling to serve as efficient collateral to meaningfully participate in the DeFi ecosystem. Tyrone notes, “In the second half of RWA, we must shift from ‘bringing assets on-chain’ to ‘activating liquidity.’”

Faroo’s core mission is precisely to bridge this divide, making RWA an engine that drives on-chain liquidity rather than remaining a static asset token.

Hybrid Yield: The Third Leap of DeFi

Tyrone positions Faroo’s innovation as the third wave of DeFi evolution: from DeFi 1.0’s inflationary token incentive model, to DeFi 2.0’s Real Yield paradigm, and now to Faroo’s pioneering Hybrid Yield model. Following two key innovations—liquid staking in 2020 and the composability of lending token yields in 2022—Faroo is the first to embed multi-yield mechanisms into the RWA space, achieving a structural improvement in capital efficiency.

Faroo summarizes its yield model as “One Token, Dual Engines,” and unveils its three core products: stPHRS, the flagship hybrid yield liquid staking token that seamlessly integrates native crypto staking rewards with underlying RWA cash flows; tbPHRS, which tracks on-chain treasury yields to deliver stable, USD-denominated returns; and LP Vault, an automated market-making strategy vault that captures fee income generated by on-chain trading activity. Together, they form a unified, composable on-chain yield system that enables users to earn diversified returns while maintaining liquidity.

Underlying empowerment: Deep integration with the Pharos ecosystem

Faroo is deeply built on the Pharos ecosystem, leveraging its native tokenomics, the RealFi Alliance’s RWA asset pipeline, and a robust compliance framework to successfully bridge decentralized technology with regulatory compliance. “Faroo is building a highway to global liquidity—this model does not rely on market sentiment fluctuations, but is driven by real, sustainable yields,” Tyrone concluded at the summit.

About Faroo

Faroo is the first liquidity staking protocol in the Pharos ecosystem dedicated to Hybrid Yield, aiming to build a unified, composable, and highly capital-efficient on-chain yield system that leads DeFi into a new era of global liquidity.
