On February 18, 2026, the FABRIC Foundation announced a partnership with OpenMind and Circle to advance the deployment of autonomous agents. The initiative leverages Circle’s USDC and OpenMind’s x402 protocol to enable AI and robots to make on-chain payments for energy, services, and data. FABRIC will focus on Robot Birthplace—a crowdsourced model designed to reduce costs and expand the use of humanoid robots—and accelerate adoption through training, simulation, and data collection.

BlockBeats report: On February 18, OpenMind and Circle officially announced a strategic partnership to launch the world’s first payment infrastructure designed specifically for autonomous agents and embodied AI in the real world. By deeply integrating Circle’s USDC stablecoin with OpenMind’s x402 protocol module, this collaboration enables robots and AI agents to make direct, autonomous payments for energy, services, and data in the physical world.

Building on the collaboration between OpenMind and Circle, the FABRIC Foundation will accelerate implementation and large-scale deployment in the following two areas:

I. Robot Birthplace (Robot Origin) FABRIC accelerates the global adoption of embodied robots, such as humanoid robots, through a crowdsourcing model (e.g., liquidity providers), while building a payment and settlement layer. Funding and yield reinvestment from LPs will significantly enhance capital efficiency in robot deployment, substantially lowering entry barriers and driving robots from the laboratory to large-scale commercialization.

II. Acceleration of Adoption — FABRIC coordinates robot production, shares simulated environments, and standardizes evaluation systems, accelerating the rapid iteration of safe, trustworthy, high-capability systems from training and simulation to data collection, evaluation, deployment, and learning iterations of robotic models.

The payment infrastructure of OpenMind + Circle provides machines with an "economic brain," while the FABRIC Foundation manages the end-to-end lifecycle of birth, production, operation, and evolution. Together, these three elements will jointly give rise to the true era of machine economics—where robots are no longer mere tools, but independent economic agents capable of autonomous perception, decision-making, action, and payment. Over the coming months, more real-world deployment cases, such as automated charging stations, are worth continued attention.
