As per MetaEra, on November 24 (UTC+8), Ethereum blockchain explorer Etherscan announced a reduction in its free API coverage by approximately 10%. The adjustment aims to address increased resource demands due to the growth in block generation speed, transactions per second, and overall transaction volume across multiple chains over the past year. To accommodate users still needing access, Etherscan introduced a discounted lightweight plan priced at 25% of the lowest paid tier. The free API will now cover a curated set of chains, maintaining 90% coverage.
