According to The Block, Ethereum researcher Thomas Thiery (also known as "soispoke") has proposed Fork-Choice Enforced Inclusion Lists (FOCIL) as a core feature of Ethereum's upcoming Hegota upgrade. The proposal has been assigned the number EIP-7805. FOCIL aims to reduce Ethereum's reliance on centralized block builders by allowing multiple validators to ensure that specific transactions are included in a block. This mechanism will enhance the network's resistance to censorship and prevent transactions from being selectively excluded. It is reported that the FOCIL specification has already been reviewed, and most Ethereum clients have prototype implementations. This feature is expected to be a key improvement in the Hegota upgrade, further strengthening Ethereum's decentralized nature.

Ethereum news broke as researcher Thomas Thiery proposed FOCIL for the Hegota network upgrade. EIP-7805 aims to reduce reliance on centralized block builders by allowing multiple validators to include specific transactions. This mechanism strengthens censorship resistance and prevents transaction exclusion. FOCIL's specification has been finalized, with most clients already testing prototypes. The network upgrade is set to enhance Ethereum's decentralization.
