The Ethereum Foundation, in collaboration with Nethermind (Ethereum infrastructure developer), Chainlink Labs (on-chain data services provider), Areta.io (smart contract audit firm), and multiple leading audit firms, has launched the Trillion Dollar Security Initiative to introduce the Ethereum Security Subsidy Program, offering a total of $1 million in security audit subsidies to Ethereum developers. The program aims to reduce the cost of security audits and improve developers’ access to audit services, further strengthening the security of the Ethereum ecosystem. Audit applications will be jointly reviewed by the participating organizations and are open to CROPS (Chain Resource Optimization Projects) and new use case initiatives. While security audits are considered an industry best practice, they are often costly—this initiative helps encourage more projects to adopt audit services.
