As reported by TechFlow, on November 14, Ethereum developers discussed the implementation plan for the Fork Choice Inclusion List (FOCIL) during the 169th All-Core Developer Consensus Meeting. Developers are now more optimistic about including the proposal in the Heka upgrade rather than the Glamsterdam upgrade. Client teams expressed differing opinions on including FOCIL in Glamsterdam, with Lighthouse and Lodestar supporting it, Grandine opposing it, and Prysm remaining neutral. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and Lodestar developer Matthew Keil supported the approach of making trusted commitments for future forks. Additionally, the Fusaka upgrade is set to activate on the Ethereum mainnet on December 3. Developers also discussed interoperability testing for embedded proposer-builder separation (ePBS), expected to be ready within a month.
