Odaily Planet Daily report: The conflict between the U.S., Israel, and Iran has caused a blockage in the Strait of Hormuz, a vital global energy transport route. Maritime data shows that only 77 vessels have passed through the Strait of Hormuz since March 1.
In comparison, between March 1 and 11 last year, 1,229 vessels passed through this strait. On the 13th, Agence France-Presse cited Lloyd’s List, reporting that of the 77 vessels passing through, most were aging ships in poor condition, lacking adequate insurance and with unclear ownership. This provider of maritime data and analytics stated that most of these vessels belong to what is known as a "shadow fleet"—tankers and gas carriers evading Western sanctions. (Jinshi)
