Cysic Open Sources the Venus zkVM Framework, Joins Ethproofs as an Integration Partner

ChainCatcher report: Cysic officially open-sourced Venus, a graph-first zkVM proof framework. Built on ZisK, Venus abandons the traditional HAL model that treats the proof process as a series of isolated backend functions, instead encoding the entire ZK proof pipeline as a global computation graph, decoupling logic from hardware execution. Real-world tests show that Venus improves end-to-end proof time by over 9% compared to ZisK 0.16.1, significantly reduces CPU-GPU synchronization overhead, and is compatible with GPU, FPGA, and even ASIC. Cysic has been listed as an integrated partner of Ethproofs and will operate directly as an Ethereum zkEVM node. The ZisK zkVM underlying Venus uses a custom instruction set and is one of the five zkVMs explicitly listed as candidates in the official discussions for Ethereum’s EIP-8025 upgrade, positioning Cysic directly at the core of Ethereum’s L1 proof market.
