Derived from Chainthink, Coinbase announced through its developer platform account that the x402 Facilitator will implement a minimum fee structure starting January 1, 2026. The first 1,000 settlements per month will be free, with a $0.001 charge for each additional settlement. Developers will receive their first bill on February 1, 2026. Coinbase stated that the x402 service has experienced rapid growth, but the Facilitator currently covers all transaction Gas fees. The introduction of the low fee aims to ensure the service's sustainability and continued optimization.
