Odaily Planet Daily reports: Matthew Prince, CEO of network infrastructure provider Cloudflare, posted that real-time monitoring from Cloudflare Radar over the past seven days shows that bot traffic now accounts for 57.5% of all HTTP requests targeting HTML web content globally, surpassing human traffic (42.5%) for the first time. This shift occurred more than a year earlier than industry predictions.
After the data was released, some netizens raised questions, noting that it is currently difficult to distinguish whether requests originate from bots or the humans behind them. Additionally, some bot traffic does not come solely from agents but may also stem from web crawlers or scripts. Furthermore, this data only accounts for HTML web requests; when considering total internet bandwidth—including video streaming, infinite scrolling on social media, and in-app APIs—human traffic still accounts for approximately 65% of the total.
