Citrini analyst Jukan highlighted on-chain analysis on July 23, cautioning against underestimating YMTC’s NAND competitiveness. NAND flash remains in short supply, with the shortage reportedly impacting NVIDIA’s CMX cabinets. Some customers are now sourcing NAND directly to complete their builds. Jukan clarified that he is not bearish on NAND, noting that YMTC’s focus on the consumer market does not indicate oversupply. On-chain data supports continued strong demand in the sector.

BlockBeats news, on July 23, Citrini analyst Jukan posted on social media: "Do not underestimate the competitiveness of Yangtze Memory Technologies (YMTC). NAND flash memory remains in short supply, and this shortage will persist."

It is reported that NVIDIA's CMX cabinets are currently severely affected by NAND supply shortages, making it impossible to ship fully configured units. Some customers planning to purchase CMX cabinets are reportedly being asked to source their own NAND components to complete the full system configuration.

I am not bearish on NAND. Yangtze Memory Technologies still heavily relies on the consumer market, and its competitiveness should not be underestimated—but this does not mean it will cause the NAND market to re-enter a state of oversupply.
